The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) is a fully Chartered Institute established through a Legislative Act of the Pakistan Assembly (Sindh Act No. XI of 1995) and is approved and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, as a degree granting institution.

SZABIST has campuses in Karachi, Islamabad, Larkana, Dubai (UAE) and Hyderabad.

SZABIST Islamabad Campus was established in 1999.

BB Shaheed was the founding Chancellor of SZABIST, whereas Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho is serving as current  chancellor .

 Currently 1800 students are studying at the Islamabad campus.

SZABIST offers programs in Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Social Sciences and Media & Communication Studies from bachelor to PhD level.

Admissions Campaign Spring 2013:

 SZABIST Islamabad Campus offers admissions in BBA,BS-Social Sciences, BS-Computing, BS-Media & Communication Studies, BS-Accounting & Finance, EMBA, PMBA, MPM, MHRM,MS-Computing, MS-Management Sciences, MS-Social Sciences, MS-Development Studies.

As far as the scholarship are concerned yes we do offer scholarships including Need Based Scholarships, Merit Scholarships AKESP Scholarships, Teaching Assistantship, & Sindh Endowment Fund Scholarships.

SZABIST does not have hostel facility at the campus. But accommodation assistance can be facilitated to students  at  other hostels located near the campus.

The campus offers a very wholesome, disciplined, and friendly atmosphere at the campus, and the best thing is  that there are no unions, groups, associations formed at the students level which could negatively impact the academics activities.

Students graduating from szabist  have found lucrative carriers in diversified fields .Most of these managed to find a place for themselves immediately after graduating from the institute. Alumnis are employed by Mobilink, Nayatal, Askari, Ministry of Petrolium, NIB and other organizations.
